One Source Live

Synopsis

One Source Live is an all-day festival celebrating the transformative power of African creativity spanning across music, fashion, art and photography. The dynamic event took over Number 1 Eloff Precinct in downtown JHB bringing together leaders of a new breed – creative revolutionaries changing the way the world sees Africa. A massive lineup featuring rapper Khuli Chana, poet and rapper Sho Madjozi and photographers such as Trevor Stuurman and Osborne Macharia, made for a perfect fit for a festival.

As The BarLeader, we were tasked to produce a show at a premium level. The premium touch had to translate into an experience for festival go-ers and viewers that would give them the impression that they were part of a revolution. Using our TV & film expertise to bring this festival to people’s homes, we had to ensure that creativity and brand alignment met on the same street. We had all the right ingredients to make a revolutionary experience nothing short of premium with music, fashion, art and photography all at play together.  The downtown Joburg location was a fitting space because of its historic-appeal that goes back to the source of city life and the fact that it boasts a Street Art Zone that offers art installations, food trucks, a street performance stage, fashion pop ups and street photographers.

The festival had all the combos communicating. From Joburg CBD drone shots, to downtown street walks with the host Kat Sinivasan, The Rainforest Stag hosted by Sho Madjozi, street dancing, art installations and the One Source Live branding where everyone wanted to take photos. From the connections between up-coming artists coming to life to photographers eager to showcase their skills by creating unique stills of subjects they’d always admired to the pairing of great food and company, a revolution was on the rise.

The ONE SOURCE LIVE revolution, given The BarLeader treatment became the blueprint for an authentically premium experience.
